When asked what he finds most enjoyable about being a dentist, Dr. Philip Messer candidly reveals that it’s “when I get a hug after a procedure is done, and someone says thank you and sincerely means it.”
Dr. Messer graduated at the top of his class from the University of Maryland Dental School, and he went into dentistry out of the desire to become a leader in the community he serves, work with his hands, and get to know people.
In 2015, he was one of the youngest doctors on record to be awarded a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
For Dr. Messer, dentistry isn’t just about the oral health of his patients, it’s about their overall optimal health. Because he believes that a doctor’s education is never complete, Dr. Messer is an active Faculty Club member of Scottsdale, Arizona’s Spear Education, where he matriculates yearly to study the latest techniques and advancements in dentistry.
A native of East Brunswick, New Jersey, Dr. Messer enjoys golf, going to the gym, and spending time with his wife Melissa and dog Crosby.
